Hi Kaching,
Its a nice looking site, im impressed! Yeah, good ways to get visitors is getting relavant link exchanges to boost search engine traffic. Make sure those urls are SEO friendly and that google has no problem reaching the deep pages. Sign up to Google Webmaster Tools (https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools) as its a good way to start. An important page would be to see the crawing rate to make sure its actually visiting and also the errors page. Another idea to get targeted visitors is local new paper ads. They are usually cheap and if you did it in the advertising section then I think it would draw in some great targetted visitors. Also, It would be advisable to target only certain areas of your site. For example if a user comes to your site and sees most sections with little activity then they may just leave. However, if you target say Automobiles in your news papaer ads and SEO then they would see an active part and hopefully buy something or sell something themselves. |

Yeah good work on the site. I was trying to find a good article I came across the otherday. It was a blog, but had 21 ways of increasing your webtraffic. Everything from social networking, blogging, forum boards, seo, directory submissions, site links etc. Can't find it again now sorry, but just googling your topic question should bring up a ton load of useful info. Takes a lot of time and ongoing effort, but worth it.
Good luck |

I submit a few articles for my blogs/sites. Hence you could submit relevant articles to article directories like GoArticles, Article Dashbooard, and EZineArticles (Popular site), and link them to your site in the article. There are programs to submit articles automatically to the dozens of article directories.
As noted above, getting relevant links from similar sites, preferably with high page rank would help. Perhaps email and ask. Another but laborious way, is to create mini sites or blogs and gradually link them to your site, after you have submitted the blogs/sites to article/blog directories & social sites, e.g. Blog Engage, EntreCard, My Blog Log, BlogCatalog, Blog explosion, Top of Blogs, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc. Been there, and it's very time consuming (tired me out) but slowly works for visitor traffic - but hard to tell if it's relevant quality traffic. Currently using the less time consuming (I hope) SEO techniques/marketing for key wording, content optimization, and link building, with ideas from SEOZombie Grizz's Make Money Online, the popular Dosh Dosh and others. Use the Google's free keyword tool to find out what relevant key words are popular (note: type in trademe - has million searches a month). Click show all in the drop down box to get search trends and "ad click value". Also Google Trends for country/city popular terms, and the more involved Google Ad Planner for targeting an audience/customer base from web sites. You can select by country. Also subscribe online to popular SEO/marketing/online promotion sites via RSS/email to get current ideas for online promotion, such as taming the beast(marketing online strategies), search engine watch, and others, and maybe get involved in relevant forums to your site/business...

cool, good suggestions there thanks.
I found a good site today that has a lot of useful info on SEO and associated tools also. BruceClay - Search Engine Optimization SEO Training, SEO Services, Search Engine Ranking, and Placement Tools Is amazing how much stuff is out there really. Is just a matter of reading what you can and picking up a few things here and there. pcsourcepoint, you mentioned all the blogs, myspace etc you are using, but said was difficult to tell if it was relevant traffic. Are you using google analytics on your sites? It is free and provides very useful info, especially great for tracking traffic from referral sites. Gives everything from number of pages viewed, entry/exit pages, time on site, worldwide location, and heaps more. Can easily see where traffic is coming from, and what is providing the best quality to allow you to focus more on that area. I also just recently came across All News, Videos, & Images, and is good for submitting articles etc. Always the web community to 'digg' (vote) on sites/articles/photos etc that they like. If you do sign up, would be great if you could digg me, Information on the benefits of owning a Mexican hammock. Happy to return digg anyone elses articles/sites. Cheers, Mike |

I get GA some reports emailed daily and weekly. The referrals from forums, blog directories, social sites, etc generally show high bounce rates. The use of funnels/goals I think also indicated this. Popular blog posts of mine were from I think from search engine traffic, which tended to display comments.

most traffic will come from SEO which means search engines unless you have a great viral idea and/or get a couple press releases picked up.

Johnston says he lived with the Palin family from early December to the second week in January. He claims he heard the governor several times say how nice it would be to take advantage of the lucrative deals that were being offered, including a reality show and a book."I think the big deal was the book. That was millions of dollars," said Johnston, who has had a strained relationship with the family but now says things have improved.

I have had my website up and running for 6 months now.
I find it is VERY hard to get regular hits. I have tried lots of the techniques mentioned above. But the web is such a big place now that it is hard to get noticed. I have just tried posting some articles to Ezines and Articles Base. Getting mentioned on a popular blog worked great for me, but that is not easy to achieve. Our site is about a new product that is unique and therefore no one will be searching for it, so we have to try other angles. |

You could learn to write understandable English first
As I said, we have been on Google Adwords for 6 months and have had about 10 hits. It is too hard to find appropriate words for our site. And their algorithms don't work as they don't display our ads when they could do ! So I cant be bothered wasting my time with them. Are we allowed to mention our website urls on this forum ? |
